What An Idea (WAI) Grand Finale - SOS Nagpur

The What An Idea (WAI) Grand Finale took place at the School of Scholars Wanadongri campus in Nagpur on December 23, 2024. This event marked the end of WAI Season 1, which lasted over three months. It was jointly organized by SOS and Lemon Ideas.


Celebrating Innovation in Education


The event showcased an innovative spirit among students. Out of the top 32 teams who pitched during the Finale, the top 10 were selected to present their groundbreaking ideas. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, as an esteemed panel of judges and distinguished guests created a vibrant platform for entrepreneurial passion.


Top Teams and Their Ideas


The top teams that emerged during the pitches are as follows:


  • Smart Chair, Class IX, School: SOS – Amravati - Winner

  • Rail Guard, Class VIII, School: SOS – Warud - 1st Runner Up

  • Fuel Tank Safety Device, Class VII, School: SOS-Amravati - 2nd Runner Up


In addition to these winners, other impressive ideas included:


  • Water Filter for River, Class VI, School: SOS-Beltarodi

  • 3 in 1 Tractor, Class VIII, School: SOS - Wanadongri

  • Trash Collector, Class VI, School: SOS – Amravati

  • Accident Alert GPS System, Class X, School: SOS – Amravati

  • River Cleaner, Class VI, School: SOS-Kaulkhed-Akola

  • Anti-Sleep Sensor for Drowsy Driving, Class VIII, School: SOS – Wardha

  • Rescue Boat, Class IX, School: SOS – Amravati


Team Churan, from Class X at SOS – Dhamangaon, was recognized as having the most innovative idea outside of the top 10. They were showcased in the Grand Finale, highlighting their creativity and ingenuity.

The jury for the grand event included notable figures such as:

  • Mr. Deepak Menaria, Founder & CEO, Lemon Ideas

  • Mr. Parimal Kalikar, Founder, Licksters


Moreover, esteemed guests like Mrs. Devika Meghe, Chief Advisor of the Meghe Group of Schools, Ms. Abha Meghe, Director of the Meghe Group of Schools, and Dr. Uday P Waghe, Principal of YCCE, added prestige to the occasion.
