Inviting Lead Partners for Innopreneurs (6th Edition)

In a world with billions of people with a billion more ideas, resources to turn these ideas into action are highly scarce. Ever since 2014, Innopreneurs has brought solutions to prospective entrepreneurs. From a conventional B-plan competition, Innopreneurs has evolved into a platform capable of revolutionizing the very world of startups itself. Through consistency, collaboration and commitment, we have connected a whole world of bright-minded entrepreneurs with resources and networking otherwise never seen before. In our 6th edition, Innopreneurs will become bigger, and greater than ever.

Innopreneurs has consistently been a national platform which encourages entrepreneurs, students, professionals and anyone with an idea to turn ideas into action, but this year, Innopreneurs is expanding its impact internationally. By targeting South Asian and other regional nations, Innopreneurs will bring its resources to international candidates and help broaden the reach of what Innopreneurs can do. With a direct reach of over 500,000 individuals, prospective 5000+ entries and 42 rounds of competition and creativity and 9 countries in participation., The 6th edition of Innopreneurs is bound to be the best yet.

But what metric can we use to prove our consistent success? We at Innopreneurs are proud to say that we have helped incubate and start-up some of India’s most innovative, successful and inspiring startups yet. Firstly we have the winner of the 2014 Innopreneurs competition, udChalo. Which has been rated among India's 10 Most Promising Online Ticket Booking Companies in 2019 by Silicon India. udChalo has received IATA Certificate of Accreditation 2019 and 2020–Upcurve Business Services Pvt Ltd. Entrepreneur India, and has been coined the travel startup of the year 2019.’ Additionally, we have Lootel, India’s very first smart restroom cafe, bringing innovative solutions to the rampant national issue of smart hygiene. Lootel has been featured in countless magazines and newspapers for their work to revolutionize how sanitation is dealt with in India. Last but definitely not the least we have Jai-Kisan a company which leverages technology and long-standing value chain networks to facilitate a suite of financial products for the underprivileged.

Despite the many curveballs thrown by the COVID-19 pandemic, our platform at Innopreneurs was hard at work ensuring that entrepreneurs with a solution had a platform to share these, aka. What an Idea for COVID-19. Innopreneurs’ What an Idea for COVID-19 competition commenced on the 29th of March 2020, with ideas from over 54 different geographies (including international participation) With over hundreds of submitted ideas, 37 were selected for pitching with only 10 selected for the final idea showcase. Through our What an Idea for COVID-19 showcase and many other events, we have had the honor to host some of the greatest minds of our generation. Shri Anurag Thakur Ji, the Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs with the government of India, emphasized the importance of this campaign in such a time of crisis, with innovations and bright minds being our only hope. We additionally hosted Mr Madhur Bajaj, vice chairman of Bajaj Auto Ltd. who discussed how Entrepreneurship is the fuel for progress and we should not let a pandemic come in the way of stopping the spirit of innovation of entrepreneurship.

As aforementioned, the 6th edition of Innopreneurs is likely to be the biggest one yet. With our expansion into international territory, over 500,000 entrepreneurs targeted, Innopreneurs is going to impact thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs around the world. Our innovation tracks (categories of start-up ideas) such as Atma-Nirbhar Bharat / Self-Reliant India, Healthcare, Social Impact and various others, will allow this year’s competition to be focused, and detail-oriented to result in the highest possible impact. With various opportunities to seek mentorship and be trained by the best in the industry, Innopreneurs, despite being online, is expected to be one of the most happening startup competitions in Asia.
